Our website address is: http:\/\/absolutelynothing.io. We are a small group of individuals who are trying to educate the public on what is in the privacy policies of popular companies. Today our “product” is our blog and it’s distribution via newsletters or instantaneous post notifications.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How we make money<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is currently offered for free and will continue to be free for quite a while. We do plan on monetizing this content by placing contextual advertisements<\/a> which are a form of targeted advertisement<\/a> where the type of audience determines the content. In our case, we assume that since you are interested in privacy policies you might be interested in tools like dark web monitoring, password management, VPNs, credit score monitoring, and other privacy minded tools. We may also show advertisements that are universal to any audience like essential items and basic goods.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We do not <\/strong>show you types of targeted advertising<\/a> that are unique to you, your sociodemographics, your search history, your device or operating system, your social media activity, advertising based on the time of day, your location, your behavior, or retargeting advertisements. However, our blog posts will certainly help you understand what all these mean and which companies do use these tactics.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Comments<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Currently, we do not permit comments on individual posts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When we choose to turn on comments we will conduct ourselves as outlined below.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor\u2019s IP address and browser user agent string (what browser the visitor is using) to help spam detection.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When commenting is enabled, you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website. We do not take responsibility for “cleaning”, “scrubbing”, or “processing” your images in a way that would remove this data.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (with one exception: users cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
